Follow along with us as we build the sheep barn!
It was hard giving up so much grazing space to put a barn up. But never having had lambs before, I didn’t know what to expect out of the other sheep. They “could” have been bred before I got them and they “could” have lambed in the dead of winter for all I knew when we started this. I knew we’d have to put up feed hay, have extra bags of feed (if we decided to go that route) and we needed a place to trim hooves, whelp puppies, and you know… if you have something bigger than chickens, you need a barn, right? It’s just not a homestead without a barn… right? A big RED barn, LOL.
If you’d like to know more about the sheep we chose for our homestead see Katahdin Dorper cross.
